An extensive refurbishment and extension to an unmodernised detached Victorian property. The original house had dark cellular rooms with limited engagement with the garden. While the house was not modernised, it did contain lots of character features which we wanted to bring back to life.
Works included complete remodelling of the house interior, and the introduction of a loft level floor and an extension to the rear of the property. The kitchen features a corner-less bi fold door leading out to the outdoor living area. The formal dining room opens onto the hallway, which has been made possible by the use of a hidden fire curtain at the base of the staircase.
All the upper floor rooms have been remodelled and many are served by ensuites.
