An unmodernized detached period property has been more than doubled in size and completely renovated to create a modern family friendly home with a wonderful garden.
The key moves was to add a new 2 storey side extension with a large loft space with a central atrium to flood natural light into the depth of the house. The 2 storey side extension was designed to blend into the original house and complement the period styling. At the back we have added a large angular single storey side and rear extension which has created a large social open plan kitchen, dinning and family room opening up to the garden. At the side is a large boot room and utility and to the front are the formal drawing room, a welcoming period styled entrance hall and a study.
The design utilizes linear bricks in the ground floor to offer a contemporary nod to the original brick building alongside tall brass framed french doors and bifolds.
Externally there is a new landscaped garden complete with outdoor pool and timber clad summerhouse.
