From the outside this unassuming London mews house gives nothing away as to what is going on inside. This double mews property was complete gutted, with just the external facades remaining. We then dug down to create a full basement and rebuild the house and added another floor. Concept 8 undertook all stages from conception to completion, this including the intricate planning process to obtain all the relevant approvals in this tricky site.
Internally the house is split into social spaces on the ground and basement floor and bedrooms on the upper floors. The basement has a state of the art home theatre and bar, along with back of house utility and plant rooms. The ground floor is completely open plan with a entrance lobby, feature kitchen and main formal dining and seating area. The whole house is stitched together with a feature open tread Corian stair on structural glass which sits in front of a back lit alabaster feature wall, spanning 4 floors.
The house has been finished to the highest standards of finishes ranging from the concrete effect walls, the leather stitched stair handrails, a moveable cantilevered kitchen breakfast bar to the bespoke pendant in the bar.
On this project we collaborated with renowned London Interior Design studio - Boutique Design.
