This period house has been extensively renovated and extended to more than double the size of the original house. It sits in a private estate with a variety of homes of different size and aesthetics. Our brief was to celebrate the period styling of the original house while creating modern open plan family spaces and extensive use of glass to bring the garden into play.

The moment you enter the house you are greeted with seamless views out to the garden. The hallway has new tiled flooring with panelled walls with a lit coffer ceiling. To the side are 2 Krittal type doors leading to the study / guest bedroom and the formal drawing room. We have designed a ground floor with shower to allow the study to become an ensuite guest bedroom if needed. At the back is a large open plan social kitchen with island featuring a banquette seating looking out onto the garden. Also in this space is the dining opening out onto the outdoor living area with a cornerless door arrangement. To the other side is a childrens room featuring corner glazing. we included viewing window into this room from the utility room / pantry.
