Projects Near Completion

This month we celebrated another team member gaining their professional qualification to become a chartered architect. Megan Hill has completed her studies successfully at Greenwich University and is the 4th person to gain their chartership at the studio. Next up is Anish whom we hope will become the 5th person to qualify!

The lead up to Christmas is a very busy period for projects, with a number of clients wanting to get projects finished for the festive period. We have a number of projects all closing out this time of year, a select few listed below.

Haymede – A comprehensive renovation of a nondescript 1960’s bungalow that has been transformed into a contemporary home and artists studio. Features include a new zinc roof form, slot windows, as well as pivot windows and sliding glazed walls. The fixtures and finishes inc exposed brickwork, concrete floor and feature lighting. Concept Eight were retained to oversee the project through to completion.

Fox Close – An extensive reconfiguration and extension to a 1970’s 3-storey house. The house was fully gutted internally and rebuilt with a new rear extension. Works include a new feature stair off a widened entrance hall. Internally key features include a bespoke timber kitchen with steel work surface, exposed brickwork, feature glazing and polished plaster to the master walk in wardrobe. Concept Eight were retained to oversee the project through to completion.

Brunswick – A ground floor and lower ground floor with rear garden in a period mansion has been completely renovated and extended. Works has involved significantly lowering the floor level to the lower ground floor and garden, as well as complete internal structural reconfiguration. Features include exposed brick walls, bespoke kitchen, crittal type internal doors and cantilevered feature stair, as well as full marble bathrooms etc. Concept Eight were retained to oversee the project through to completion.

Lowndes Sq – A lateral apartment fitout in a central location close to Harrods. Works have included the complete fitout of the property with a new feature kitchen, new flooring throughout, new fitted bathrooms and bedrooms as well as feature lighting and bespoke joinery. Concept Eight were retained to oversee the project through to completion.

Kenwood (4) – A detached property which has over the years been extended to in a haphazard way has been redesigned to form a unified new contemporary home. Works include a stunning new entrance hall with glazed façade and feature stair. Works also include a new social kitchen opening up to the new outdoor living area. Upstairs there stair leads to a series of bedrooms and a large master suite. This is our 4th project on this road. The complete build was undertaken in around 6 months.

Princes Road (2) – A detached period property with character features throughout. White the house had some grand reception rooms to the front the rear of the property was cellular with low ceiling heights and limited views to the garden. We have transformed it to form a bright and welcoming entrance hall, with an open tread stair with feature brass rods acting as balustrades. To the back there is a large social kitchen with separate dining and seating area with well defined framed views to the garden. Features also include a fully glazed window box, feature kitchen and extensive feature glazing. Upstairs we have 2no. renovated bathrooms inc a kids Jack & Jill bathroom. This is our 2nd project on the road.

The Gade – Both houses have now been completed and our clients are in living in one of the houses, and the 2nd property has now been placed on the market for purchase as a development. The new build 5 bedroom property has been completed to a very high specification with a feature social kitchen, and the master suite making the most of the views back to the large garden.
